Now days with the Internet trend growing in popularity there is practically a web tool for everything we can imagine. While some of these wedding websites and RSVP services are great and save the Bride and Groom time and money, others are just out to get you. Find out what to look for when shopping for your Wedding Website and RSVP Service.
Beware of the many “Free” services offered by wedding websites.
So your looking for a wedding website to display photos of you and your significant other, maybe a nice warm welcome for your guests to read and “Oh look there's a free one!” Not so fast!
Many of these so called “Free” services lead you to believe they are free, you sign-up like they ask you and choose your background for your new wedding website or RSVP service and after 10 min or so you end up at a page that is asking you for your credit card number. Now your saying “I thought it was Free”? So you either pull out your credit card and pay the amount asked cause you've just been duked into buying something you though was free, or you find out that the “Free” version doesn't offer you anything that they lead you to believe it does and now you have just waisted your time. Oh and remember when you signed up at the beginning? ...Get ready to receive a dozen or so emails from wedding vendors.
Avoid all The Bells and Whistles and Think Of Your Guests...
Some of the Wedding Websites and Online RSVP Services use the latest versions Flash or Java (Computer Language) allowing the website to play music in the background with picture slide show and pages that turn like magazines or books when you click to see the next page. Trust me, don't get caught up in all the bells and whistles, it may look and sound nice on your computer, but for the most part most people don't have the latest versions of these programs installed on there computer and it just significantly slows down there computer and doesn't load properly leaving your guests staring at a blank computer screen waiting for it to load.
Simple is best.
You want your guests to be able to log on to your wedding website, see a few pictures, get directions, RSVP your wedding event, have access to a few links of where your are registered at for gifts and lastly you want the font size to be large enough to where your guests don't have to squint and put their nose to the monitor to read the small text.
So where do I Look?
All of this is relatively easy to find and can be a great wedding service saving you time and money if you know what you are looking for and how much you should be spending for this type of service. Ive looked at many different wedding websites and wedding RSVP services and found the best to be combined services that combine your wedding website with the online RSVP service all in one for around $99 and some change.
