An Electronic Cigarette is a battery operated device that looks exactly similar to a normal tobacco cigarette. It tastes and gives the same feeling as the traditional cigarette, but has no harmful effects. No tobacco, no nicotine, no tar and other carcinogenic substances. E-cigarette is considered as a safe and harmless substitute to smoking. However, the utility and the efficiency of the product is still a topic of discussion, and a widespread opinion has been created about e-cigarette.
Electronic cigarette first hit, the market around the year 2003 and have gained popularity ever since. It has also been the center of many controversies regarding the legal permission of shipping, branding and selling the product in different countries. These cigarettes contain propylene along with glycol or glycerin. Flavors may be added as per the users wish. The principle upon which these cigarettes work is similar to that of a humidity creating machine. E-Cigarettes mainly contains of three parts, the mouth piece, which is held between the lips, the vaporizer which vaporizes the mixture and the battery. The battery is rechargeable, and can be charged in multiple ways.
It also have an option of adding nicotine, to the vaporizing mixture, but doing that makes the product worthless as It is aimed at ceasing the smoking habit, thereby reducing the intake of nicotine. As these cigarettes produce no or less smoke, smoking them in public places is legal. So now, you can smoke in a mall, your office, or any other public place without the fear of getting on the hook and paying fine.
E-cigarettes can be refilled without the need of disposing it. The vaporizer is a layer of filaments which is the main heating part of the fluid. These filaments tend to get destroyed, and needs to be replaced, thereby costing rather often then seldom. Because of so many pros and cons of the electronic cigarette, it has still to get a legal permission for sale in many countries. The present market for this product dwells in the American and the European countries.
In spite of the noble reason that the Electronic Cigarette aims at, one should give a deep thought before getting used to it. Being a non-smoker is better than being a smoker, be it even the Electronic Cigarette.
