International Institute of Business Analysis has recognised the certification of Certified Business Analysis Professional or CBAP and the basic purpose to conduct the CBAP Exam was to screen, test, and certify qualified and knowledgeable Business Analysts. To appear in CBAP Exam there are some conditions which include the knowledge of basic financial and mathematical calculations, understanding documentation, negotiating with financial institutions and handling the share holders, conducting market surveys and tackling the interviews, analysing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the business, identifying the problems and finding the solutions for them, is must.
Further skills required from the person appearing in CBAP Exam are the familiarity with number of techniques which are needed to tackle the routine problems faced in an organisation. The skill are to prepare the efficient budgets, analysing the risks, voting in the unions, taking quick and practical decisions and tracking the problem areas. The skillful answering of the questionnaires placed by the management, understanding and working as per flowcharts or dataflow diagrams.
A candidate of CBAP Exam must possess the understanding of planned policies and the reasons why sometimes the organisations have to deviate from them. The candidate must have the understanding of elements involved in an effective communication system, the methods of achieving the production targets should be known to a prospective CBAP and all the logical solutions for the problems coming in the way of production should be known to the candidate.
The candidate appearing in CBAP Exam must have the knowledge of all the documentation involved in the buying or selling of the companys assets or the units and must possess the knowledge of the agencies involved in the transactions. Besides these there are many other skills the person striving for the CBAP Exam must possess the knowledge of application of some techniques such as validation techniques, modeling techniques, organisational techniques, categorisation and prioritisation. Besides these techniques he must have proper understanding of exploiting the arising business opportunities and the proper understanding of the results of the decisions to be taken by the organisation and understanding the mindsets of the manpower working in the organisation.
The basic requirement of CBAP Exam is judging the knowledge of the candidate to develop a plan, planning and scheduling of materials and resources, consolidating the data of the production. The person must have the knowledge of availability of men, machine and material and of those agencies which provide these resources. The working knowledge of all the local laws and legal languages is must.
Passing the CBAP Exam is such an honour for the business analyst that the designations he holds during the job are always of highest level. Instead of him running after the jobs it is the business organisations which will be pursuing him to join them and that also on the salaries which are incomparable. After clearing the CBAP Exam the responsibilities increase and the person becomes answerable to the whole organisation for the successful or failed projects.
