Life in the UK test is a computer based test that is usually taken to take stay permanently or get citizenship of UK. If you are not a citizen of UK and wish to stay here to earn or study then this test is necessary. Life in the UK test allows you become a citizen of UK.
 
Therefore it is essential to join a good teaching center that will prepare you for the life in the UK test. There are many institutions that have their websites inviting the students to come and prepare for their tests with them. These institutes have complete knowledge about the latest syllabus of the test and train the students properly so that they can pass the test easily.  Also before applying to any institute offering coaching, you can gather the information about the pattern of the test and the type of questions that you will be answering in it.
There are many students who try to prepare for the test on their own and are often not able to score good in it. If you wish to score well and clear the tests in one go then it is recommended to take training from a good training center. The training is given for at least 5 days according to the level of English of the candidate. If you have a good understanding of English language and speak it fluently then it will take less time for you to understand the pattern of the test and prepare for it.
Make sure the training centre you choose has enough experience in teaching and also has qualified teachers that can make you understand how to progress in the test. In the training center your teachers will also tell you what you can expect in the test.

Your life in the UK test has 24 questions that you need to complete in 45 minutes. In order to pass the test, you will have to answer 18 questions correctly. The cost of the life in the UK test is £34, but if you are giving through your training center then they may include the fees of the test in their tuition fees.
You can also appear for ESOL certificate to use it for getting indefinite leave to remain in UK application and apply for British citizen application later on. Make sure that the certificate providing authority is approved by accredited college and examining body. If you take ESOL certificate then you will not have to appear for life in the UK test. But of you want to appear for this test then search for a good training center online. Most of the training centers allow you to learn you course part time or during the weekends.
 
When appearing in the test make sure you carry your roll number as well as a photo ID having your name, address and photograph on it.  Your results will determine your level of English and how you can improve it further to stay in the UK permanently.
