Outdoor digital signage is fast catching up on the indoor sector. High audience figures, a growing trend for people to socialise outside, and a lack of digital competition all make outdoor advertising an attractive proposition for digital signage advertisers; however, taking to the streets requires a little bit of aforethought:
With digital signage now one of the fastest growing advertising mediums, its no wonder we are beginning to see its proliferation out onto the sidewalk. The hardware required to provide an outdoor digital signage is not cheap. Even if you use an outdoor TV enclosure and an inexpensive consumer grade screen, there is still a reasonable investment required. A damaged screen or one that has failed due to poor protection in outdoor locations will need to be replaced, and this will result in a lengthening of time until you can get a return.
