Have you ever sampled homemade cooking with a little Polish flavor thrown into the mix? Well if not then you should be daring and eat at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern the next time you are in the Pittsburgh area.

In fact the Bloomfield Bridge is well known for having the best tasting Polish food anywhere in the immediate area. Their Pierogies are a best seller and you can choose from cheese and potato, sauerkraut or cottage cheese. If you are all ready a Pierogies fan then come down on any Friday or Saturday night. If you eat anytime between 5 and 7 pm your Pierogies will be half price!

If you are not familiar with Polish food then there are some classics which you should try. This includes Czarnina, or Duck Soup and will become one of your favorite soups for sure. Stuffed cabbage and homemade noodles are other popular choice and are good choices when served with cottage cheese.

For anyone with a man’s sized appetite then a Red or White Platter is the perfect meal. They come with a price tag of $9.95 and are actually the most expensive menu item! Not bad for the price! To help you make eating out more affordable the Bloomfield offers specials on their bottles of beer. These specials are normally done when the bands play. For instance Tuesday is Open Mic night and bottles are beer are served for a couple of bucks for the two hours that Mic night is running.
