The Bloomfield Bridge Tavern has been part of the Pittsburgh restaurant scene for 23 years. They are also known as the Polish Party House and you can easily find them on Liberty Ave.

In all this time many new restaurants and bars have opened up in the area. What keeps the Bloomfield Tavern so popular is their Open Mic night. An Open Mic night is always a lot of fun and attracts both regular and first time customers.

You will find all the local music lovers at the Bloomfield each and every Tuesday night. Besides the music the Polish food is another reason why customers just keep on coming back. This combination of powerful music and fantastic food is just one reason why they got the nickname of the Polish Party House.

A featured band starts off the show on Open Mic night, this gets underway at 9 pm. The featured artist plays for half an hour first. Then it is time for anyone who wishes to take the mic to come up on stage.

Open Mic night lasts for two hours so to get a place in the lineup you will need to register ahead of time. An easy way to do this is to come for dinner first! You get to try out the Polish food and calm your nerves before hitting the stage. A nice dinner is great for calming stage fright!

The Bloomfield Tavern likes to give back to their community. By holding an Open Mic night each week they are doing just that. It is important for the management to be active locally.

The Bloomfield has live bands play on different week nights too. To be invited you must be sponsored by a local business and all band members must be over twenty one.

To help make sure that Tuesday nights are filled for Open Mic night, the Bloomfield runs a special on bottles of beer. During this time period the price is put down to just $2 on certain beers. That is a great price and helps keep the crowd happy.

Performing at an Open Mic night can really help a band's future. This is particularly true with the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern because they have been around for so long. The exposure you could get is enormous and you never know who might just be in the audience.
