A long time restaurant in Pittsburgh is the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern. They have been in operation for 23 years now and are well known for their Polish food. In fact, they have become known as the Polish Party House. Along with a wonderful menu of Polish favorites you have the opportunity to listen to some great music while you eat.

The Bloomfield has different types of music playing on certain nights of the week. For any band to play at the Bloomfield they must first have a sponsor who is a local person or business owner. Their other condition is that each band member is over twenty one years old. If you think you would like to play here just give them a call and get all the specific details.

You could also take advantage of Bloomfield's Open Mic Night. This takes place on Tuesdays at 9pm sharp. The first act to play on stage is always a featured band. Their gig lasts for thirty minutes and then the floor is open to newcomers.

A lot of people show up for Mic night to both play and watch. If you want to play then be sure to get there early. Your name has to be on the guest list to even have a chance of making it to the stage that night.

Another reason that this Polish Party House is popular is because they take care of their customers. They do this by offering specials during certain times. For Open Mic night they currently discount the price of beer. This is just one reason that Mic night is appealing for customers. Of course they enjoy the new music too.

The purpose of holding an Open Mic night is to help the musicians get some exposure in and around Pittsburgh. This exposure can really help their careers take off.

Local businesses support each other and the community. They will often recommend good bands amongst each other. This can help you book additional gigs for your band. Word of mouth is a very powerful advertising method.

For anyone who has a band in the Pittsburgh area playing at the Bloomfield should be high on their priority list. This tavern is very friendly and you will be made to feel at home. Playing the Bloomfield is one of the best places for any new band to first take the stage.
