Saddlebag accessories were initially introduced in early 1950s and it came in the local market for the use of local bikers. When the saddlebag accessories were being introduced the bikers usually rode locally and the biking phenomenon was not all that common. With its initial introduction it was not all that popular as the vehicles in 1950s lacked space so it could not be used properly. With the great degree of technological innovations in motorcycles and a rise in demand for bikes use of accessories became common as well. It was seen that there was high rise demand among the consumers for a product that contained excess storage spaces. It was at that time when new and innovative structures of saddlebag accessories were manufactured and within a short span of time became immensely popular. As soon as the newer versions of the accessories were introduced in the local market it gathered a huge degree of popularity. The bags and accessories which were produced at that time were not only functional in its nature but conscious efforts were being made to make it attractive. In the mid 1960s came the idea of traveling long distances in a bike. Bikers moved out of their locality and were ready to travel long distances. Saddlebag accessories became a perfect fuel for those looking for a long ride. It gave the riders the opportunity to travel long distances and enjoy the ultimate pleasure of a bike ride.

After 1960s various technological and engineering innovations were being made in the bikes. This also resulted in huge demand for bikes among the youths and this was the time when decorative and attractive saddlebags accessories were being introduced. The accessories were made with numerous materials but the product made of animal leather was the most attractive one and also the most sort after. Bikers dreamt about acquiring a leather saddlebag accessory as it gave a perfect rugged look which was appropriate for a biker. Since it was new innovation leather accessories were very costly at that time and not many could have afforded it. People quickly began to look for a substitute and synthetic leather accessories were being developed which had a similar rugged look but was much more affordable.

As it was continuously gaining popularity among the bikers and every new biker was looking to acquire the best accessory for his bikes the products became larger and offered many new and innovative features for the consumer. Nowadays it has become much more than a storage space and it has become a style statement for bikers. Use of these modern saddlebag accessories is surely considered to be a fashion among bikers. With time and innovation bikers have been offered many benefits of these accessories. It is really easy to install and you don’t need an expert to fit the material in your bike. It is considered to be relatively less expensive compared to the features it offers. Riders do not require designing special chambers for the storage purpose. It offers a complete package for the bikers from being a storage material to being a style statement.
